Sweetgrass Braid

Sweet grass is a sacred herb often called the hair of Mother Earth. Its fragrance is very pleasant and slightly sweet. It is traditionally used to attract positive energies and favourable outcomes. Sweet grass is the most feminine of all incenses used for smudging. It grows all over North America.

Sweetgrass is also one of the most important Traditional Medicines used  in the ancient culture. All of our Sweetgrass is mindfully sourced.  Some growths of sweetgrass are in crisis because of over picking or harvesting by pulling out the root.  We only work directly from indigenous sellers who during ceremony,  pluck the grass without pulling the root…keeping the process as sustainable as possible.

A traditional braid is made of 21 strands of fresh sweetgrass, representing the 21 traditional beliefs.

We currently have fresh medium (19″) length braids. Price is per braid.
